Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist / Consultant - American Board

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist / Consultant with an American Board qualification to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive emergency care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute and critical medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage pediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Provide timely and evidence-based treatment for medical, surgical, traumatic, and critical pediatric emergencies.
• Manage pediatric resuscitation and critically ill patients.
• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of clinical practice.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists, intensive care teams, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Determine appropriate admission, referral, discharge, and follow-up plans.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
• Support teaching, training, and supervision of junior medical staff where required.
• Comply with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards.

Requirements

• American Board Certification in the relevant specialty.
• Valid medical registration in the country of practice.
• Relevant experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Current BLS, PALS, and other relevant emergency certifications.
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume emergency department.
• Eligible for UAE medical licensing, subject to the relevant health authority's assessment.
