Senior Java Developer

Our client is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. They are a service provider and partner to anyone who needs custom software solutions. Their structures are streamlined enough to work efficiently, yet flexible and powerful enough to take on large-scale projects with tight deadlines.

They develops mission-critical softwares for any platform and in any programming language, tailor-made to the requirements and from a single source.

Their clients come from a wide range of industries with very different IT infrastructures. Small, medium and large businesses – they all have to be able to rely fully on their software. Their clients may have detailed specifications already, or only an approximate idea – either way they will adopt an iterative approach to develop the software, their client needs.

• We are looking for a senior level developer for our newly setup Pune office. As a software engineer, you work on a small team and can switch teams and projects as our business grows and evolves. We need our engineers to be versatile and always eager to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward.

• You will work on the latest technologies and apply them to add value to our clients. You will be part of a team that defines and implements mission critical software solutions.

• Develop products and features, applications, and system bring-up for our customers.

• Work closely with the lead architects to design and implement features based on best practices and best in class implementations.

• Work on client as well as server side of the application.

• Ensure organizational compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in commercial Java development

• Should have worked on multiple projects

• Language abilities : Must be able to communicate fluently in English

• Proficiency with the following technologies:

 Java : Java 6 & 7

 JEE : JavaServer Faces 2.0, JPA (with EclipseLink or Hibernate)

 Client side : XHTML, JavaScript (atleast jQuery + one additional framework like node.js or angular.js)

 Source control : Git

 Build : Apache Maven, Jenkins

 Databases : SQL, Database designing

 Unit testing frameworks : Junit

• Strong understanding of the software development process with exposure to agile methodologies

• Experience in team leading would be a plus

• Experience working with European customers would be a plus
